OMG (as my grandkids would say). I did NOT read all of that thread. went from the first page directly to the last page. I'll bet there's some good stuff in there though if a guy wanted to read 1880 posts to get it. 
See that's what I mean about being a little slow. James, you and Murph usually keep me in the loop and I greatly appreciate it!!!! Especially when I'm making a fool outta myself......

On that particular thread Richard, I would say you are "caught up" at this time.. I will make a long story short for you:.. We don't have a dang clue why the pallets are in the fields. Although the original poster finally came back and said that a neighbor said that the pallet formations are some sort of crude "goose scare crow".. take that for what you will.
The rest is just a bunch of guys having fun with each other.. you can take that for what you will

I am not familiar with the term "burner profile", but I would assume it is the same as a "burner" cellphone. In other words, a phone you can use to make a call you do not wanted traced back to you and your normal usage phone. I assume a burner profile is a account you would create to use once or maybe a few times, to say something hateful for example to someone while pretending to be their friend in your normal discourse. To be duplicitous. An ALT, would be the same concept, in that you keep two accounts, one is your Alternate eqo, the hateful spiteful troll for instance, the other account would be the good guy image, like me for instance.
I am fairly certain (I have no proof of course). That some members here have had Alt. profiles. I Know that some members that have been banned, have returned under different user names.
There are posters, that are not what they appear to be.
James has it covered regarding accounts.
A Burner is one that someone uses just to troll and they dont care if it gets banned, usually they go out in a blaze of glory, telling mods, admin off etc.. Same as an Alt, albeit an Alt is usually "serious" in that they dont want it banned. People have been known to have conversions amongst their alts, to keep threads running and boost post count and pad their ego. Also Alts and Shills are common to push products.
Yes, there are people who care about post count and treat it like some sort of status symbol.
Although TBN's policy is to ban duplicate accounts (which is great), anyone who is even moderately computer savvy can log in under a new IP and email addy without much problem. I guarantee there are a bunch of previously banned people posting under a new username on this site.

Once a post count hits 10,000 it should go in reverse.

On one site I frequent, one member used to post some great pics, along with tales of his lifestyle, according to his posts, he did all the right things, did good, was was doing good. Some other forum folks were jealous of him, and started to heckle him a bit. I happened to believe most of his posts, until one day I found a profile on another forum that had some planter pics that he had claimed were his. Only the other forum pics were months older, and a few states away. Anyway, he announced that he had cancer. Then his treatment, then a "family" member logged on to report his death. He had talked about his job as a maintence manager at a country club. One member reported calling the place and asking for him, turned out he was there...
Btw, the dude built a mean Tiki bar....

A good friend of mine has taken several hits concerning his post count. He's had some health issues the past few years which puts him stuck inside, looking to TBN to pass the time. He certainly never posts to add "count". I never pay any attention to post count. Actually Murph, I just noticed yours. It's not an indicator of anything to me. :confused3:
