YM2500
1. I am no mechanic so if you know what I am talking about and it is a bid deal, just say so and I will call a mechanic but would prefer not to.

I have a YM 2500 and if you look at the right side of the tractor, you have the fuel filter, coming out of that is a fuel line going to the right and then there is what appears to be a nut with a bolt into it. There is a gasket that appears to be leaking and I am trying to find out what that part is so I can order a gasket for it. The nut and the screw going into the nut are both tight. Does anybody have any idea what I am working with here?

If you are talking about the gasket under the little bleed screw bolt it is probably this. Yanmar Tractor Parts: BLEEDER PLUG GASKET_ If you are talking about the two gaskets sandwitched between the fuel line on the Banjo bolt then I am not sure. There are different ones depending on model number and I do not have a parts manual for the 2500. The John deere 850 uses ch10085 and I am only guessing your 2500 would use the same as they are basically the same engine. I am attaching another parts drawing just to show you what I think you have. Different model so may be different part numbers. Only for clarification purposes. Notice part numbers 31 through 34. Yanmar Tractor Parts: FUEL_SYSTEM

Yep, that is it.. So can I assume it is save to shut the full off at the filter then remove that nut to replace the gasket once I get one? And by the way, thank you very much for your help.

When I had my JD850, I too had to rebuild the fuel system from the tank to the fuel pump. And at the fuel pump, it leaked by dripping from the top bolt. The copper washer gave way. Had to get a new bolt and washer. Amazingly the local O'Reily's autoparts store had them.

Likewise, the fuel filter there I picked up was the WIX 33263. Napa has a cross reference of Napa 3263 but I would have to order it. Usually I would get the Purolator (F)54564 for $8.

Winston1 is correct on the other item, the little lever for fuel shut-off can leak too. Guess that is where your flat seal fits.

I now have the Yanmar YM2610. It's the YM2500 with the power-shift basically.
