I want to thank everyone who has taken time to reply to my post.. It is really appreciated as well as helpful. All the information will helpme decide on which tractor to buy. It sounds like the owners of the LS brand are very happy overall and that is good to know also. I am also looking at other brands including Mahindra and New Holland . I will have to consider issues such as price, dealers and dealer location since they are all making decent units. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful resource (tractorbynet) to help us all communicate and share experiences and ideas. The Best to you all.

I don't have an LS, but if I were you buy a Korean tractor, it would likely be an LS. They seem to have very satisfied customers. They also have a "built in" population of NH tractors in the US to give them a service base.

Don't forget the red twins (Case-IH) as well.

I have a Montana R4944 that is built by LS, it would be the R4047 same tractor. I have had this tractor since 2010 it is a 2009 model year I have just over 300 hours on it, I had one problem and that was a leak in the front of the transmission around the front drive shaft. The leak turned out to be a bad seal between the two halves of the transmission. This was completely cover by the warranty and I had it done during the winter months when I didn't need the tractor (I have a plow on the truck). Other than that it has been a great tractor, the only complaint I have is the speed of the loader I like them faster but I am also used to a totally different type of loader with a totally different type of hydraulic system so it isn't fair to compare. You said you were looking at NH remember the NH boomers and the Case IH A's are made by LS.

Right. Even better if you are concerned about parts availability down the road. They have a lot of tractors "in the field" already.

I am a new owner of an LS XR3037 and am very pleased with it! I am partial as I have been involved with Hyundai for 24 years and will say that the LS line is built with very similar traits as the car line, high quality, great warranty and a lot more standard features than the competition for a really great price! I compared similar models to the NH line, the NH guys don't want to tell you that their unit is a rebadged LS cause they are trying to get a lot more $$ for it with a lot less warranty! I have several posts in the LS forum that you can read about my search for a cab tractor at a good price with a lot of features, quite frankly, the LS forum really helped me to make up my mind on the brand, especially after reading the other make forums and some of their ongoing tractor problems. Good luck in your quest!
