Table Saw

The left has indoctrinated a generation with the belief they are victims, entitled to the wealth of others.

You see it in these ambulance chasing ads, you see it in the administration's class warfare tactics, you see it in obamacare subsidies, you see it in the surge of food stamp enrollment ... and on and on.

Dude, it started long before Obama. It started with the civil rights movement in the 1960's. When the Dems saw how well it worked with real victims, well they started looking around for more. So if they couldn't find any, the started to manufacture them with class warfare tactics. Couple that with a self-absorbed Boomer generation who determined their parents didn't know a dammned thing about raising kids and here you are.

Given the current nanny state, blenders could not be produced if they were developed today.

Heck, we would not even have electricity in our homes because it can be soooooo dangerous.

I guess for some folks every setback just represents an opportunity, right? And for the lawyers, it doesn't even have to be THEIR setback, profit from it.

Nope, accountability and common sense went out the window a long time ago. I call it the wussification of America. It's always the fault of someone else.

I used to think it was "checks for free" until I checked the liner notes. It's really, "Money for nothin' and chicks for free". I like your version better tho.

I actually thought that the song was Bill Clinton's 'Hail to the Chief' rendition..

Saw that ad once and I think it showed a guy about ready to crosscut a board with no fence support. Geez, those lawyers could have made money just filming their own commercial.

Funny thing about late night commercials around here. All the ads are selling stuff that a third party pays for: product liability, medical malpractice, accidents, and stuff that Medicare will buy for you. Apparently, somebody figures that people watching TV at that hour don't have any money of their own to spend.

A month ago and temp. was temp was cold my Bro. in Law was ripping a board on table saw when realized blood was squirting all over the table and board.
Had cut his thumb off between the joints . covered with handkerchief and went into house telling his wife to drive him to Dr.
Nothing to do but use skin of removed thumb for cover until new skin grew.
Does not remember how it happened.
Saw shield was set back because of thickness of board.
Some times all the experience and knowledge and safety awareness still something happens.

I have a old 1950's Craftsman that does not have a blade guard so you always mind the blade

Hang on now, are you saying that the civil rights movement is like a class action lawsuit against a table saw manufacturer?

The Civil. Rights. Movement.

When you say something that nonsensical I honestly have no idea what to think. The civil rights movement? Yeah, like let's repeal Obamacare! Then let's roll back the civil rights movement... Might want to rethink that one, my friend. I don't think you're gonna get too many people lining up to get behind that one.

Since we're quoting rock and roll songs...

"If you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao, you ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow"
