Tail hook or tow hook?![]()
My car rides great with 26's:laughing:
That or he has a bike rack that goes in the hitch...I've got a buddy who has Prius and he has hitch on it. I've been meaning to ask him, just how much a Prius can tow. Maybe he's just being pro-active in case he gets stuck. I got my car hung up and the tow operator hooked to the tire and pulled the car out.

it has been told to me that the larger wheels give the car a smoother ride with having less invested in the suspension it's self. As the cars have gone larger in tire sizes try pricing some 14" or 15" tires as they are now in the minority size wise up has gone the price.
I agree.Toyota does not rate the Prius to tow ANYTHING...however, if you search the net you can find those who say they have no problem towing 1,000 or 2,000 pounds. But there is a HUGE difference between hooking on a rolling load to a hitch and attaching a tow cable to a hitch on a dead weight mired in snow. My '04 Saturn L-300 is rated to tow 1,000 pounds, the hitch is a class 1 and I have towed 1,800 pounds with it a few times. But would I let a tow truck hook onto the hitch? NO.
And are somewhat cheaper...Not smoother if the overall tire dimension is the same. I recently bought a new car and selected a model with 18" rims and taller tire profile over those with 20" rims and shorter tire profile. The tires absorb a lot of road impact, drive a lot smoother.
Correct. The largest wheels are for bling. This is partially true. But when you see the same truck model offered with either 17, 18 or 20 inch you know it's not just for larger brakes.
