I am curious about weather or not anyone else has brake issues. To specify i mean when i am in gear and moving the brake pedal and even parking break do absolutely nothing to stop or even slow me down. They do however work when i engage the clutch and there is absolutely no power to the wheels. also the push down pedal that is supposed to be for the creeper break or whatever that is located under the right hand side close to the seat seams to do absolutely nothing. This is a brand new tractor and i have only put 35 hours on it so far and it has done this ever since i bought it new from the dealer. I asked him about it a couple days after receiving it and he simply said that there is too much power feeding the wheels and that the brakes wont work unless the clutch is engaged, which at first i was satisfied with the explanation but after using it a bit and looking up about the creeper"push down" pedal under right leg i am starting to wonder if there isnt some sort of defect or the brakes where somehow compramised when i purchased the tractor. There was 2.5 hours on the tractor when it was delivered and i assume that this was simply racked up from loading on and off of trailers and barges and maybe a few test spins by others at the dealership. This is my first tractor so i have no other tractor expierience to compare it to.
Any and all information on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you are referring to as a creeper brake. Perhaps you are referring to the differential lock. You will not notice anything happen when you push the pedal unless you have lost rear wheel traction and one wheel is spinning and the other isn't. In this condition, push clutch in to stop wheel from spinning. Depress differential lock pedal and hold it down. Release clutch and both rear wheels will be powered.
As far as your brakes, if you push them while under power.. It would be difficult to stop the machine. Try putting the tractor in its highest gear and travel at the lowest speed and see if you can stop the tractor or stall the engine by applying the brakes. Also, make sure your brake lock is engaged so when you press one pedal, the other pedal is also actuated.

Tractors with throttle set are not like cars. The engine automatically is servoed to produce more power as it encounters resistance. The engine will fight against slow down to below its set rpm. If its linked to the wheels and the wheels are braked the engine tries harder.

I see, Thank you both for the great information!

I would think you would be able to use the brakes independently to help with steering when you have the front wheels turned but you are still going straight. I had to use mine several times this winter in deep snow to turn. You should able to lock up one side or the other unless you have the difflock engaged but as spyder said the engine will try to compensate for the extra load while pushing both brakes.

Im not really sure, havent tried using the brakes independantly. The fact that im normally running in 4 wheel drive might have something to do with that as well.

Unlock the brakes for normal operation. You should only lock the brake pedals together for road travel, otherwise you want to be able to brake each wheel independently for turning aid when needing to turn sharper. Brakes should lock up one wheel when applied to the inside of the turn. They should also be able to stall the engine if gear or stall the transmission if a HST. If not then there is something wrong with the brakes.

1st gear on the 7520 will overcome the brakes at lo idle. I wish the brakes were better.
