I've got a JD3320with R4 tires, this winter being what it is I'm having traction issues when I plow. I'm looking for tire chains, they need to be low profile for fender clearance. I looked into Aquiline but they are sold out until fall. Any other brands out there, possibly dealers in the Midwest?

I would wait till the Fall, as the Aqualines are super. If not try Trygg chains. They are comparable, but probably a little more money, if you can believe that. I'm sure you have already priced the aqualines. I have them and they are great chains. Really seldom use 4WD when plowing now.

on another forum someone did not recommend these chains - they said they gave a VERY rough ride - they should not be used on concrete or asphalt driveways..
I just bought the 2link chains from tirechain.com instead of those duo ladders..

I have Aquline Talons. I would hold out for them. Expensive yes. But after this winter they have been worth their weight in gold. From my experience Aquline chains that are sold out are not typically back in stock until September before the next winter.

have you tried sipping your tires?? Makes a world of difference for very little cash. I would do every other lug. Maybe try this before chains. But its all up to you. THis winter has been rough

Siping may help, as would having filled tires (OP got 'em?), and IMO a hefty box blade is the default minimum counterweight to the FEL in winter. Siping pattern pics on pages 6, 12, 19, ... here:

Two-link chains are almost a given on smaller diameter tires (mowers, etc), but IMO 4-link may be fine on CUTs. It's easily possible to become stuck even with 4WD & chains, with pedal stomping and side sliding often a part of recovery. Be sure if using bungees or springs for tension that spares are close at hand.
I'm sure quality chains are worth the $$, but I've seen only the cheapest in use and wonder if it's the fasteners (vs magical matls/configs) that are a big part of that justification. I doubt that any brand/quality chains would be hard to 'patch up', but never saw any that needed much fixin', either ... :2cents:

I can't imagine plowing snow with a 4WD tractor and not having it in 4WD all the time. If not now ,when? Not only do you have more "push" but the breaking forces get spread over all four wheels through the front drive shaft. When your sliding down hill towards that drop off you want all the claw back you can get. I haven't had mine in 2WD sense hunting season.
