Looks good. That trailer looks pretty new too and the truck. 2014 GMC? I have a red one, the bumper gave it away. I'm sure you will have gun with your tractor soon. I think it is suppose to warm up next week. But that is here. Snow and cold today.

Oh gosh. Mine is a GMC. It has had two software recalls. The first one seemed like it messed up something else so they had to do another update after that. I think it was about a 4 hour deal that was only suppose to take twenty minutes. Was that your problems or something else? Mine is a 5.3.

Thanks! Yes the hood and floorpan are metal but the rear fender section is plastic. Do you use the height setting and set your wheels a little higher for scalping say 1/2" or do you use the wheels for height on your mmm? I always used suspended style and havent used one that floated. The book says you can use it either way im curious which is better or how you set yours.

Radrock, exhaust leaked and rattled, replaced drivers seat then had to disassemble it and grease twice, 2 recalls, popped a stabiltrak code, and finally the driver door weatherstrip makes noise that they are still trying to fix. Im a chevy man for 25 years but this has been the biggest p.o.s. Ive ever owned. Mine is 5.3, the big recall was due to overheating exhaust that burnt some trucks to the ground, if you look on the outlet of your muffler you we see an exhaust adaptive valve. Its a spring loaded flapper that closes when your truck is idleing or in V4 mode to keep it quiet. It was the cause of my rattle, i opened it and put a clamp on it to keep it that way. Im sure thats why trucks were overheating exhaust too, i think they reprogram your ecm to calm it down at idle.

Oh wow, I have had GMC's since 89. I knew the recall was because some trucks burned up but the reason was a little different. Well no it's not... I just didn't read your explanation good. Yes because it would go in v-4 mode when idling. I really like mine. I have the SLT, electric seats. Do you have the mechanical seats? I'll have to look for the flapper you are talking about. I have had a crew cab for the last 3 trucks and really like that the gave a longer bed now.

I just set the wheel height, on the deck itself.if you try to use the knob, it seems to vibrate out of adjustment........ It does on mine anyhow.

Radrock, its in V8 at idle but that flapper is dependant on exhaust flow to open, its not electronic just a tension spring, as you accelerate and more exhaust flows it opens. I had my truck idling and it was shut, i manually opened it and vvvrrrooommmm it sounded like a normal truck. I mean all the crap on these things now, i want a truck not a honda. So I clamped it open so its wide open all the time. If you tap where the spring is it will clatter like a cowbell, when mine would go in V4 and it closed it would flutter and sound like the rearend was going to fall out. When I took it to the dealer i removed the clamp and evidently stretched the spring enough that it quit rattling but as soon as i got home i clamped it back open. Mine has manual seats. Ive had 4 loaner trucks, all 2014 chevy or gmc 1500's and none of them made the noises or had issues mine did.

Chooglin, that adjuster is off anyway, me and my neighbor whose an old pro at all things related set it and its too low. I adjusted according to the book and at notch 5 (highest) its a true 3 1/4" cut. That height adjuster is not adjustable its a notched cog that fits in a different notch as you turn the knob so there is no way to move it farther up or down. I usually cut around 2 1/2" which is low for some people but thats notch 4 , i cant imagine at 3 or 2. Only adjustment you have is your lift rod which i did per the book and its like its 2 notches off on the height adjuster. I think the wheel adjustment is the simplest and full proof to me. Thanks for the info.
