Down pressure on 3pt is pretty rare.. I have heard a couple of Belarus tractors have it.

I don't think so, Murph. the angle is more straight back.. Lets say it was a back blade you were trying to put a little pressure on, If you extended the cylinder, would't it just make the attack angle of the blade more severe? i don't think it would put much if any down pressure, as the lower links would still be able to float up.

Gotcha, since it pivots on the mount it would just change angle.

exactly, if your looking to add downpressure on a post hole digger, there are kits available to do that.
