TC33Da
I own a Tc33 hydrostat. Mowing and noticed steering wheel was not very responsive. It appears a hose busted. Not sure which one. Most fluid is underneath at piston arm area. How do you tell which one, or do you do them both at same time?

I have a front end loader on the tractor.

Questions: Degree of difficulty to replace myself? Likely cost for dealer to replace?

Any tips or suggestions?

Thank you

So the part I need is: sba340609980.

I would love to know what the manual says on doing this?

I am trying to figure out if I remove the wheels and the steering rod connecting the 2 wheels?

I don't see how I et a wrench in there

Your title says TC33DA, indicating Super-Steer axle, but the 2nd post shows TC33 and part number indicates simple 4wd with tie-rod. According to the book, no procedure for hoses, but removing the pin on the base end of the steering cylinder to access the hoses would be the simplest method. You could also remove the pins from both ends of the cylinder to gain better access.

Your title says TC33DA, so you hsve a Super-steer axle. According to the book, no procedure for hoses, but removing the pin(s) on the base end of the steering cylinder(s) to access the hoses would be the simplest method. You could also remove the pins from both ends of the cylinder that you need to replace the hose.
Your second entry indicates that it is a TC33 with a tie-rod, but basically the same routine.

I thought the DA was hydrostat. I have tc 33 hydrostat but not super steer.

Is the high pressure hose to "steering piston" reverse threaded? Or can I remove pressure somehow? When I turn wheel one direction stays. The other direction springs back

The D makes it Deluxe w/Super-Steer. The A makes it the next generation in the series.
1st the hose. No they are not reverse threaded and, with the engine off, turning the wheels right/left should relieve any pressure.
2nd, there is no high pressure hose to cylinder. They both deliver high pressure to the cylinder depending on which way the cylinder is being directed. Do you have an external leak?
If not, it sounds as though the cylinder may be leaking internally, meaning the fluid is pushing the piston inside one direction, but the fluid is bypassing to the other. Remove the cylinder and reseal or have it resealed.
Your description isn't thorough enough to determine. It could be the steering motor in the column. Does the steering wheel move by itself or does it just not steer when you turn the wheel in the intended direction?
Or, are you saying that with the engine off, the steering wheel returns back when you try turning it? This would be normal.

Interesting - I have a TC25D and recall;

TC25 - basic model, hydrostatic, non folding ROPS
TC25D - Deluxe model, hydro, folding ROPS, extendible lower 3ph arms. etc.
TC25DA - Second generation Boomer line

I thought SuperSteer was an option on the D and DA models and not standard on them.

Yes the pressure hose of steering the rubber line to the rear of the tractor blew. On the cylinder the closest to the tractor. Having hard time getting it to unthread from the cylinder. Trying to remove the outer pipe to get to the inside pipe. I turn the wheels and it stays (assume that sides the leak side), turn different direction and it springs back.

Tried to place open end wrench and breaker bar to break loose and not wanting to budge. This is why I was asking about reverse threading. Is there another magic trick to get this line to break loose. If it is pressured would it prevent from coming loose

Thank you for all your help you are trying to offer

Can you take the other end of lines off and cylinder off? Make sure you mark one of the lines so you don't reverse when assembling. Push cylinder rod back and forth to purge oil out of cylinder and drain oil out of lines. Pull the steering rod out so the piston is away from the ports. Heat the port that won't come loose with a torch, but don't heat to color. Let cool and try to remove.
I believe the hoses have orings on the ends, so if you do heat it up, you will want to remove both hoses and replace the oring on the good hose.

Correct, they made the "D" with and without supersteer as it was a option.

Yep... correct. My TC33D doesn't have SS either.

To my knowledge, the steering hoses are just like the rest of the hydro hoses.... unscrew & replace... no reverse threads or anything out of the ordinary.
