I don't mean to seem negative about the situation. I just usually come out smelling like poop instead of a rose when I fall in the pile. I have loved the tractor up until yesterday but now I am question my decision to go with MF. I can't say I haven't ridin the clutch a little here and there but I don't feel like I have done it that much. If that is all it takes to burn the clutch out then the tractor is not that well built and I made the wrong decision. I don't feel like I have used the tractor hard at all. I thought I was being kind of easy on it.

Most of the hours on the tractor have been riding. I have been moving dirt from a pit on the back of my property to the driveway filling in holes and level it out. Its about 400 yds one way from the pit to the driveway. Last week we cut down three large oak trees and cut them up and used the tractor to drag the logs to the back of the property.

I have a hard time believing you could unknowingly burn a clutch out at 40 hrs. I burned one in a car when I was a kid ... it was no secret when it was happening.

I haven't noticed anything with the tractor until yesterday. When I was using it yesterday I noticed it seemed like when I changed from forward to reverse it would hesitate for a second before engaging. Didn't really think anything about it. When it stopped working I had scooped up a load of dirt, mashed the clutch, and put it in reverse and when I let off the clutch--nothing. it stopped right there.

TSO,

I noticed in another post you drove 17 hours to pick up your tractor. That is a problem I have with my dealer. He is 200 miles away and I have got to figure out a way to get the tractor to him. What size trailor is that in the picture of you towing your tractor? It looks like a 7 x 16 trailor with two 3500lb axles. If it is, did it pull ok? I have three trailors that size but haven't tried to load the tractor on any of them. Thought I might be pushing the weight limit.

Yeah, I picked up the Massey with that trailer. It was about 9hrs each way. I had to make home made ramps for it, and it needs Jack stands under the rear when loading. It wasn't ideal by any means, and was probably pushing the weight limit.

It towed it fine, but I've since sold that trailer and upgraded to something more appropriate.

The powertrain warranty should cover you. If the dealer balks, he's being a d-bag. Play hardball with him in return.

Are you sure clutch has gone out?

Correct me if I am wrong but power shuttle this is a wet clutch with a reverser lever that you don't have to clutch to switch direction?

Could well be something broke but clutch still good.

I need to haul my tractor about 25 miles one way every couple of months and I was wondering if I could haul it on a trailor like that. I have three 7 x 16 trailors that we haul cabinets on. I don't have a use for a car hauler or something similiar. I have ramps and a couple of wooden blocks that we put under the back of the trailor when we were loading the kubota on the trailor. The kubota was quite a bit lighter than the 1643.

We loosened the clutch pedal per the dealer/mechanic and the tractor will run but not like its supposed to. this is how they determined the clutch was burn and slipping.

TSO,

I watched a video of you "I believe" digging a pond on a kioti ck20. My tractor hasn't been worked near that hard.
