Thanks, John. I didn't own her, I was just the hired help but with this particular outfit your truck was yours; no one else drove it (or adjusted your brakes, or got your cab dirty, or smoked in it, or most importantly, changed your radio buttons, LOL.)

Here are a few more gravel pics. 75 tons of road base and 25 tons of 3/4" crushed topping. The pile at the right of the first pic was as far as I could back up the trucks.

Here's the only photo I have from another driveway. With the sun getting low on the horizon, the first of 3 loads of base and a load of topping shows up. I'd have taken more pics, but it was dark before the second load was on the ground.

Beautiful job, as per usual, but I'm thinking you got his job because your tractor is the right color.

Nice pictures, have you had any other jobs with your CTL?

Not yet, but I have a on the books. First I have to deal with this....

It wasn't leaking when I bought it or after using it the first time. It's gear oil coming from the floating seal between the final drive and hydraulic drive motor. The Case Construction dealer and regional service rep have informed me that it's not serviceable by them. At between 6 and 7K for them to replace it, I'm searching other options. I found the correct rebuilt Case / Bonfiglioli finals available from a company in Oklahoma for a little over 3 grand, so I may do it myself. I do have an incident number with Case customer service so we'll see what happens on that end.

Sorry to hear that the Case is down. Do you think the guy you bought it from knew something was wrong so he patched it up and sold it?

No, the guy I bought it from knew nothing about it. No way to sneak it by an unsuspecting buyer either. It either leaks, or it doesn't.

He did tell me that this particular machine had the other final replaced under warranty. Since they ran it only at night (and it only holds a quart) they had run it dry over the course of a few hours and the final locked up. Since this is now the second final on the machine to leak with so little hours, Case is determining if they will help with financial assistance on this one. I'll know for sure Monday, but I'll believe it when I see it.

John, good luck with the Case issue.

It seems strange to have two parallel driveways. I suppose two good driveways make good neighbors. It could make for some interesting snowblowing wars up here.

Thanks Dave.

Funny, the homeowner I was working for owns right up to the other driveway. What's a snowblower? :D
