I have enjoyed this thread, especially after having test drove the G3038 and R4041 (both gear) today. One thing I'm wondering is if the R3039 will have the same cockpit feel as the 4041, maybe Prodaddy can answer that? My dealer here in NC didn't have one on the lot, and salesman said it was "in between" these two models in size. The 4041 was sure superior in feel and comfort, I was a little cramped on the 3038, being 6'0" and 280lbs (I know getting rid of the excess personal counterweight will help

I grow vegetables and really like the "creeper" speed of both of these machines in 1st gear at low throttle....I measured off the distance traveled in 1 minute and calculated the speed, .25mph. I was quoted 16,800 for the 3038 and 19,800 for the 4041. I think the R3039 was maybe 18,800. The R3039 weight specs are not the same as the R4041, so that is confusing. Not the same frame? The G3038 is more in my budget, but if I flip my 1958 JD 520, I can justify the R4041 purchase as it will do all that I need it to (plow, disc, till, transplant, flail mow, etc). Anyone care to chime in on the differences? Budget constraint is only temporary, I'm really tempted to buy the R4041 and get into the 21 century. That 4cyl engine was so smooth compared the tin can and marbles in the G3038, even though that ran pretty nicely, just louder.
