I'm removing an old fence and totally rerouting the fence. This is an electric type fence wire that isn't actually electrified. It was designed for routing people not animals. So if I dont need to pick up the clips off the ground, removal would be about 1/4th the time. Just cut, pull, and then tank the posts. If these clips were laying in a relatively mushy TN field, anyone think they would stick in and pop a tractor tire when I go to bushog later?

I don't know about popping a tire, but guaranteed you would hit them with the mower and 1) dull a blade and/or 2) eject it at high speed and potentially injure someone or something. I would pick them up.

Leave them and see how long it is before you put one through a tire. You'll be wishing you had picked them all up then.;)

Just grab one end with a set of large vise grips or channel locks and they will come right off. Drop into a 5 gallon bucket and scrap them.

If you pull the wire back though them they will stay with the posts.

If they do fall off I doubt they will cut a tire because they are very soft wire.

Or the another option: TSC used to sell a round magnet on a long stick. It was nice way to find steel/iron chunks in grass.

I think there was also a magnetic bar that moved at low speed it would do the same thing. I think that was a Harbor Freight thing.

Either might be the answer to your problem.

How long is the fence line? All ya gotta do is give the line a little slack and you can easily pull em right off. That or just bend em off with pliers as suggested. Or pull the wires and the clips will be within a foot of each post. I wouldn't leave them on the ground but maybe that's just tree-hugging property owner in me.

How do you save time by pulling them with pliers and dropping them on the ground rather than in a bucket? To answer your question, I have had much smaller pieces of wire than those cause flats on tractors and implements.

Looks like tire magnets to me! and I certainly wouldn't want to be anywhere near a mower especially a bush Hog with those treasures hidden in the grass.. can you spell projectile?

If you cut the wire at the end and pull the wire through these clips the clips will stay on the posts.
