Can I store my log spliter like this?

I have sprayed the **** out of that thing so many times. I stopped counting.

Mine takes around 2-3 long seconds to kick out while the engine strains.

Looks like the valve maker has a $45 kit to resolve issue. Fix for original faulty operation?

I might have to look it up. Last year I just stuck the splitter on the tractor.
