You mean $3.29 don't you?
lYes $3.299. Looks like my tri-focals got me on the wrong key. May that could piss of a lot of folks if we were getting fuel for almost $2 per gallon in todays economy.

I went back and corrected the typo to read $3.299 but still about $.40 less than last year when we filled up. Price a year ago was hovering at or above $4 a gallon and we paid $3.68 delivered for farm diesel.

We do have to check prices with the distributor before ordering and sometimes wait out the rise in cost. When we started using him 5 years ago, he did warn us that he charges what it cost him (+ markup)when he fills his tanks as Prices may fall OR rise, but he continues to charge the same till his next fill up. He may have recently changed that pricing strategy though because his pricing fell $.05 per gallon in one day. Some times his prices were higher than pump prices but most times they are lower. I think he watches the prices also and tries to outguess the market.

I suppose daily price changes work out in the long run regardless of what you pay for it, if price goes up $.25 from what you paid you make money but loose if price goes down, but law of averages would level it out I suppose. It must since all service station make daily price changes.

My Driver got a phone call while pumping my fuel and the trucker at the bulk place was transporting from Little Rock to Arkadelphia and said that they had no diesel at the Citgo depot. I am not sure why this problem existed or if it was temporary by hours or days or what, but I am glad I got my tanks full.
