Okay TBN Friends... To B or Not to B (Therefore BX).

I've made due with a 72" rear blade and FEL for 12 years. As I get older, I'm getting tired of looking back all the time and the BX doesn't have enough ground clearance to drive through the snow forward with the rear blade being used properly. I really would like a front blade, and the cost for the Kubota QA blade on the BX is very reasonable compared to WR Long. The blower would be my choice before the WR Long blade on the B... I think.

Really? I'm not going to say a BX can do everything a B can (or whatever model is pictured there). But for most of the winter I had piles of snow 6 feet deep, about 15 feet thick, one of which was 25 feet wide and another 35 feet wide, plus numerous other piles scattered around at 5 feet deep or more. All with a BX bucket.

I use my 2620 for clearing snow with front mounted blower and plow. To switch between the units is but a couple of minutes as the sub-frame is a qa affair. Takes a couple of minutes longer to drop the sub-frame and use the fel if I need to move some snow banks.

So this is actually the quick hitch setup Kubota offers like the BX... Blade, blower, sweeper type hitch? The expense of the blower, hitch, and all the rest just seems so expensive to me for a few months use. My dealer thinks Kubota just started making a blade for the B like the BX gas. Fingers crossed.

I love how powerful my BX25 is. I love all the nooks and crannies I can get it into. It is a real over achiever. But "BUT" If I had the money to buy a B3200 with BH77 I would. I use the backhoe more than I use anything else and the only problems I have run into with the BX25 is it's reach and depth which make me have to move more.

Study the picture a little more, then you'll understand what I meant by not doing that work with a BX.

I see a brand new orange tractor with a bucket on the front, a good looking 3p snowblower on the back, sparkly chains on the rear tires, nice heated cab with *great* visibility. There is snow piled ahead of it and behind it, but not huge piles, surrounded by woods. Surface looks a little bit icy. I don't see anything in that picture that couldn't be done with a BX. Faster, warmer, more comfortable, etc. with this rig, no doubt. But not even close to impossible.

I'm interested in the punch line. I had piles of snow this year I pushed with my BX that were over 84" tall. Running the front tires up the pile and dumping was no issue. The only drawback was my RB1572 rear blade bottoming out on the incline. I typically make the piles for the kids snow forts. I get tractor time, they get fun.

GET THE BX. YOU'VE OWNED Bs AND BXs AND AFTER SITTING ON A NEW B AND YOUR NOT IMPRESSED GET THE BX!!:cool2: I'VE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT AND PREFER THE BX FOR MOST USUAL CHORES. THE BH IS STRONGER AND DEEPER ON THE B BUT IF THAT'S NOT A PRIORITY, GET THE BX!!!!:drink: IF YOU GET THE B AND THINK ABOUT THAT EXTRA $30 A MONTH YOU'LL GO CRAZY. GET THE BX!!!:drink: I'VE OWNED AND USED SEVERAL OF EACH AND THE BX WILL DO ALMOST EVRY THING THE B WILL DO BUT YOU SIT HIGHER OFF THE GROUND ON A B AND THE B WILL DO SOME THINGS A BIT QUICKER THAN A BX IF YOUR IN A HURRY.
