You probably right about $975..... I knew it was somewhere around that price . The one I looked at from cl was a red United. The side that was bent COULD be fixed but I figured for the price ect ect ect that id pass. He wants $600 or b/o but I talked to him before going there and he would take $450. He's located 15 mins out of Ithaca.

I checked the Ithaca CL and only found a 4' and a 5', not the one you mentioned. In fact, I checked most of the state on CL. Wish I'd have know about that Newark Valley auction today. At $600 you can buy new United BB on Ebay so his price was high and I don't care for the way they are built. I'm looking for a more HD unit.

Yah I just checked also and see its gone. For the price he wanted is also part if the reason I passed. I don't know how often they have that auction but I believe in the summer they have it going on more. Yesterday I called the Kubota dealer ( that's were the auction is) asking if they had any used box blades for sale (not knowing anything about the auction) and he said no but that tomorrow (Saturday) they were having an auction and said what they would have for box blades in the auction. So it was good timing on my part. Hope you fine one soon :)

I have a chance to pick up a slightly used Woods HB 84 box blade. It still looks new and has all the stickers on it but I have a question. My owners manual recommends a 66" for a BB. Does anyone think an 84" will be too much or should I continue looking for a 66". Tractor is an LS XR3037HC (36.5HP) and rear tire width is 66" so an 84" would be 9" wider than the tires on each side. Price is under 1K. Anyone else uses a box blade 18" wider than their tire tracks?

I am going to buy a back blade and landscape rake. I've looked at 72" and think when they are angled they will just cover the tire tracks.
Mine is 36" wider than the tire tracks, 18" wider on each side.

Found this lightweight 8' on craigslist for $350, cause it was bent. Straightened it and use it for leveling fill dirt.
