Tractor
2010D Yanmar
Greetings everyone. I hope I'm not asking something that has already been answered on here, but here goes. I have a 2010D and just ordered the six foot model three point hitch backhoe from liberty backhoes. I can't find listed anywhere what the 2010's lift capacity for the 3 point hitch is. Does anyone think I'll have a problem with this backhoe/tractor combination? Thanks for any info. Cheers.

How much does the bh weigh?

My bh is a model originally sold with this YM240. (see my sig photo below). The bh manual says its about 650 lbs, and it is closer-coupled to the tractor than most bh's since the pivot pin is only a few inches behind the end of the lower 3-point arms. It's all the weight this tractor wants - the tractor's hydraulic relief valve squeals when I drive over a bump.

Do you have a link to Freedom showing what you have?

Welcome to the forum. :welcome: No opinion, just some facts.

The ym2000 is rated for 650kg or 1433lbs maximum lift. Guessing the 2010 would be very close rating. This would be at pin hole. All that backhoe behind it is going to put it way over that.

Sounds like you are local to them. I would take the tractor in to have it fitted - to see if this model is suitable.

I'm actually 385 miles away according to google. Unfortunately I don't have time to make that trip right now. If it turns out to be too big for my yanmar, I do have a couple of other larger machines I'm in the process of rebuilding. This may just be the extra motivation I need to get them done :D
Thanks for the replies.

If I read tractordata correctly your 2010 is an 18HP tractor. The hoe in question recommends 25HP or greater. It also may be too heavy for the 3 pt.

Not sure where you were reading but the 2010 is 20pto horsepower and 23.5 engine horsepower.

Yes, the engine is 23.5HP but I read somewhere the PTO HP was about 18. Even your correction of 20 is still a little low for the BH. Just my opinion.

Not disagreeing with your opinion, I share it. A gentleman in our area has run an ad on Craigslist for tractor and backhoe related work. I contacted him just asking how his backhoe operated and what model the tractor was. It is a 1700 and the backhoe came from VN Tractors in Mesquite. It has it's own pump. Says they sell for about $4000. Just looking at the pictures it would seem to be a pretty good fit. Compact backhoe/ mower for hire
