Can't say I've ever heard of that. It is usually used as a fire stop or slowing barrier, such as in attached garages. In that use, the exposed lower edge of the TJI's would not pass inspection here. Is is not going to rain before you get the roof on it? Seems like rain would be the end of exposed gypsum with or without the OSB subfloor.
It's a gamble. We could go until August without rain, or it might rain next week. I'll cost the OSB with water sealer and then cover the whole floor with. 6 mil plastic. Then pray for the best.
