It's a gamble. We could go until August without rain, or it might rain next week. I'll cost the OSB with water sealer and then cover the whole floor with. 6 mil plastic. Then pray for the best.

Covering seems like a good idea. You could lay down some scrap lumber under the plastic in the center of the floor area to create some drainage slope to the edges.

Bo, just wondering but will you put down plastic over top the dirt in the crawl space? Why I ask in Maryland (very humid) I had a 4 foot tall crawl space with a dirt floor. It got so humid in there, even though I had screened vents in the block wall that the insulation overhead was dripping water. I did not have any sheets of drywall though. When I covered the dirt with two layers of heavy plastic it stopped all moisture. I also installed a humidistat controlled fan in the screened vent to remove any humid air in the crawl space. Of course you being in Arizona have a completely different climate but plastic is cheap and it might also keep small insects/critters from coming up in the dirt. Just curious what you are going to do. Love your project and thanks for keeping us posted. Stanley

Code says that I have to cover the ground with plastic. I'm not doing it yet as it will just get all torn up when I do plumbing and electrical.
