Its my annual fuel problem. This year I ran out of fuell , i think. My fuel gauge is broke after last year changing all fuel lines and putting a temporary in line fuel filter on. Anyhow, I ran tractor for a while this season and it idled off. I suspect it ran out of fuel. Filled fuel tank and wouldn't start. Cracked fuel line and filled filter. Wouldn't start. Pulled out my trusty operators manual and my filter is pictured calling it "primary filter". Thus, suggesting there might be a secondary filter. Maybe that's why Im having trouble with shutdowns the last 2 seasons. I don't think I have 2 fuel filters though. I look in my tractor service manual and I have no mention of fuel system at all. Manual is 300 pages or more and maybe I just couldn't find li. I don't see anything on engine in service manual. I am guessing I need another manual for engine?
Question. Is there only 1 fuel filter in 4110? If it's run out of fuel does injector pump need primed? Could running out of fuel injure pump or any thing else? What does one of those pumps cost? (ballpark figure) Can they be rebuilt?
P S Last fall I buffed the hood and fenders with buffer. An old faded , almost orange, Changed back to the old Mahindra red. Maybe I should have used the time to fix the fuel gauge???
But......It looks good!
Wishing all a happy healthy spring season........Coffeeman
