Kioti DK55
I went to the dealer intent on buying a DK45, they still had one DK55 with the free loader from last month's promotion and I couldn't pass up the deal. Now I have all CAT1 implements and a CAT 2 tractor, with a lot of tight spaces on my property. Did I just screw the pooch buying this monster tractor? The added features like the self leveling bucket, the shuttle lever that doesn't jam, and the weatherproof controls made it hard to resist. Just worried that I now have too much tractor which can be nearly as bad as not enough.

Shouldn't be a problem, you can still adjust the wheel spacing right? Get some bushings to use your cat 1 pins in your cat 2 holes and you'll be good to go.

Congrats on the new ride, let's see some pictures.

How old was your 35. Cab or open?

Get a set of Pat's quick couplers cat 2 to cat 1 for the bottom arms and a PTO extension and enjoy.

Depends on if your cat 1 implements were heavy duty or not. Probably not wide enough though. Your DK55 really should be using 6' & 7" implements.

Just my :2cents:, enjoy your new tractor. ;)

The 35 was bought in 2009. It was open and so is the new. The can is tempting, but I'm a big guy, would look like a gorilla in an aquarium. Most of my implements are already 6'. The 35 was a beast for pulling, just not enough pto power. My old brush cutter was 6'and worked fine, but traded up to a heavier Bush hog brand and find the tractor to be under powered.

Looked at Pat's easy change, but think I will go cat 2 to cat 2. This way I can leave bushings pinned on all cat 1 implements and still be able to hook to cat 2 without removing the easy links.

Also traded in my trailer. Had a 21' Gooseneck that the back 16'tilted. Been wanting a deckover instead and this put it over the top. Ordered a Big Tex 20' + 5'. The only one on the lot sold before I locked it in, but should be here later this week.

Did find one problem, implements won't travel all the way to the ground. Top link is hitting the pto guard. Matt have to extend the top link attachment point on some of my implements that need to get deep into the ground.

Make sure the left link is in the bottom hole and extend the right adjustable link should help to lower the 3pt arms. Also for pto work the top link should probably be in the top hole.

Problem isn't the lift arms not having enough travel, but rather the top link stopping the implement from going down further since it is against the PTO guard. I may be able to flip up the PTO guard, or take it off and only put it on when using the PTO. Will still have the plastic cup that goes over the shaft.

Sorry for the delay in adding the pictures. Here is the new guy.

Just to ease your fears the Kioti cabs are very large. That was one of the selling points to me when I was looking for a machine in this size range. Way bigger than either the Deere of Kubota. CJ.
