John Deere GT235 wont Start

Hello - at the beginning of last season I had a complete tune up performed by a John Deere dealer. I have 2.5 acres probably used it 12 times.
right before putting it away for the season, it sputtered, stalled and would not start again.
Sadly the long winter rest did not cure whatever is causing the problem.
There is plenty of Gas, Spark plugs look god, so does the air filter. there is fuel in the fuel filter I suspect that is good as well?!
the engine cranks, just wont fire.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you drain fuel before putting away ? Did you store with fuel in tank without fuel stabilizer ?
Try to crank it with fresh fuel and "good" battery. Also try w/fuel cap off to see if it will fire. I have same tractor w/Kawasaki mtr.

We had the same problem, on the last mowing of the season, prior to putting it away. I did not drain the fuel or add stabilizer, i have had the machine for 10+ years, and have never done that.
there is a chance that one of my kids dumped some fuel mixed with oil into the tank, (I keep a small amount for a weed trimmer i have), do you think this could be the culprit? if so any idea how to correct that?
