Need advice for 6' bush hog gear box replacement

I have recently acquired a 6' bush hog that I can't find any name or serial number for. The hog and part of the gear box was left outside for several years. The drive shaft/face plate(?) and inner gear were taken off and stored inside a barn. Any help is appreciated. I have taken a few pics and will try and post here.

Bubbauzz, it looks like an old Woods mower. I can't tell from the pictures, but are the gears rusted or just dirty?

The gear is just dirty. It has been sitting in a wood line for a few years with the gear box open to the elements but the gear oil seems to have prevented rusting. The body looks to have been red but was painted yellow at some point.

Whatever brand it is, take the blade carrier off, remove the output shaft, bearing and seal. If the shaft looks good, install new seals and bearings, clean the box out, assemble and fill with EP grease. Even if the output shaft sealing area is pitted, you can install a Speedi-sleeve to restore the seal surface.
As long as the teeth aren't pitted from rust, and as you indicated, they were protected by gunk, then it should be useable.
Also, you can probably determine the brand from the blades either because the name is stamped on them or by measuring them and finding them on a site like: Dragon Products, click on cutting parts for pdf catalog.
