I used an eighty foot boom lift on an oak in my back yard last year. I could reach about 20 feet from the top, got her gown without a hitch.

I was talking to my neighbor, who works for the power coop. I asked if he still had to climb, considering how many bucket trucks are around now. He said there are still trees which the trucks can't reach... they will go up in the bucket and then start climbing. 80 feet in the air before strapping on the spikes! I'm not sure how old he is but both of his sons are college grads... think about that next time your power goes out.
