This is a flasher style that I put together.

When you hit it. It rocks back and you see the red indicator.

This is the back side of a dueling tree I built, when hit the plates swap sides.

If you want something that is more of a challenge, the Star target I built can give it to you.

Another video.

I have also used auto car alarm shock sensors to activate a brake light to indicate a hit at long range but I don't have any photos uploaded.

This is a 10 plate rack like the first one I posted but it has 3 different size plates on it. It resets with the last large plate, so you can still play if you can't hit the small ones.

This is one of the brake light setups.

The sensor is mounted to the stand for the plate somewhere it cannot be hit. I have some that hand off the side of the stand 15' or more on a section of EMT.

The battery box in the photo will stop some rounds but not all rifle, dig a hole or don't miss that far and you dont need it.

You would be amazed at how far away you can see an LED brake light.

A binary explosive like tannerite also makes a good reactive target, especially if placed under a 55 gallon barrel.

Another video but turn the sound off if your kids are in the room due to the potty mouth.

And the bottom after it hit the ground.

Need to be a long way away for this one, that base would cut someone in half, if it made contact.

Need at least 100 yds on AR500 steel witha rifle, further with this stuff and with the wind at your back. It went well over 100 yds into the air.

Clogged paint cans can also be pretty cool.

I've been thinking about long range shooting for awhile. So I found (up against a small shed on a property I bought) a 3/8" thick 22" dia. round stainless steel plate. :dance1: Not wanting to destroy it as fast as possible I thought of hanging the plate from two bolts projecting out about 3" from the back of the plate. Using the bolts as hanging points for chains will create a free hanging tipped target. I'm hoping it will ring more like a gong and project the bullets downwards. :2cents: I don't really know what will happen but, it will be fun finding out where the lead is landing and how much the plate gives way or gets dented with different calibers 270 win., .308, .223.

This is a video with 3 of the star targets used as a stage in a match. Good practice for strong hand/weak hand shooting and reloads if you miss too much.
