The corn and potatoes are doing fine at the moment. There are several noticeable gaps in the rows where corn didn't come up, but what did come up isn't doing bad at all.
But I have to admit, so far, especially with the time I've put into it, I'm not happy with this year's Spring garden at all. The other stuff isn't doing anything. The little cucumber and squash plants are just living and not growing. Idk what the deal is. Got a couple rows of beans that look ok but nothing to brag about. The okra row looks horrible compared to the seeds that were planted. Watermelon and cantaloupe plants are small and living but not growing.
I think this is my 4th year of making a Spring garden and so far it's the worst one.
If we don't get any rain down here very soon I think everything will die. It's dry as a powder house here.
I've been running an old open cab motor grader the last couple weeks deep in the woods working gravel roads and grassy dirt roads. The dust is HORRIBLE. When a hydraulic line busts or if hydraulic fluid starts leaking from somewhere, you don't have to trace down where it's coming from! Trust me.
I may gets some pictures tomorrow of just how bad the dust is.
