Good feedback on the bumpy ride. How would you guys rate this MMM for rougher terrain, in areas maybe a little less than bush hog material..... or should it strictly be used for lawns...

Heavy grass like a pasture, or very light wooded material would be fine for the MMM. It swings a heavy blade and the spindles are pretty tough. You just got to remember is a $2k mower there and not go crazy with the woody stuff.

Remember we have been pulling trees like crazy along with some pretty big grape vines...some vines are over 6". Fricken insane. The entire tree really moves and it will lift the nose or rear of the tractor when trying to pull them from trees....think Tarzan vines here guys. Well some of those fall off the grapple and you guessed it...KA-WACK....WACK, BANG, CRACK....I figured eh it is just blades.....after all I had just hit a water meter man hole with it a few hours ago....what more can a few branches do. Still cuts nice. I did take the deck off again to work back in the woods again and it did take a good chunk out of one of the blades....figured that, but not too bad. I will keep using it.

Grass I was mowing was about 8-10" high and I had the deck set to leave 3" on the ground....it did a real nice job with no clumping.

Remember this is a hay field and you can really tell where the bails set, and where the rake did not get down to the bottom....some areas the grass is really just gone...nothing but packed in grass. I will need to go back over that and do some work to let some air and water get in there.

Trying to get a little more work done...was out yesterday and hit 51.something. Using the grapple, and picking up a great deal of brush we had cut down and drug out before. Cut some more barb wire and used the machine to pull a long section out of the brush.

A day in the life... hmmm. We bought the BX25D April 15. I put a few hours on it learning a bit more about it. When purchased, I had added the BH thumb but it was not in stock. It came in after about a week. During that week, I found out that ROPS knob was stripped and the rops mounted nut threads messed up. Also one of the stabilizers was extremely slow. 5 times as slow as the other. I am still learning at this point, but it went back to dealer for these items and the thumb installation. I got a call from the service manager who noticed during the "fix" for the stabilizer (control linkage adjustment) that the stabilizer valve was leaking. He ordered a "kit" for it but it had to come from Ohio and would take several days to arrive. The brought the tractor back so I could use it in the meantime until it arrived. I used it quite a bit waiting for the parts and learned the the BH Boom back (up) control had a problem. If the boom is partially lowered, and when pulling control slowly toward yourself, the boom would start to fall. If you stopped the control at that point, it would go all the way to the ground instead of up. So when it went back in for the stabilizer kit, they were going to look at the BH boom problem. They picked it up monday. I called to check on it wednesday and was told that they had ordered the whole control valve assy. I was told it would be ready friday. Its saturday night and no joy or tractor....I told them to be sure and test every function to be sure that it is OK. I love the tractor (27hrs), and think the dealer is doing a good job, but I am not impressed with Kubota quality control at this point.... This is more than a day in the life, but a little venting helps I hope to get it back early next week working well...

Sorry to hear! I think you may have pulled a short straw out of many. I have worked the heck out of mine for less than a year and have more than 140hrs of rough work on it. No issues other than of my own doing... broken zerk, flat tire, puncture in seat from a screwdriver in my pocket. What a sweet machine. I hope you are behind the trouble when you get it back.

That is a bummer, and I think that I would lean a little on the dealer over that. I would think that the dealer should have checked function on everything before it was brought out to you....but we all know stuff can go nuts at any time.

I would talk to them about something to ease your pain.....free pickup for its 50hr service or free labor on the service.....or something to that effect. It is hard to give away items that cost (parts) but time is a little more easy....that pickup and drop off for its service is a zero cost item for them (really) I think they should do something to help you out.

53.something hours....I really need to get this guy into the shop for his 50hr service.

This weekend to took down the rest of my old shooting range. I think here or on one of the other threads someone asked if the grapple will pick up 3 RR ties....well yes it will. It will also pick up 4. I don't think it will pickup 5 because the grapple is not big enough. It really did not seem like much to the machine. I still have been running it at around 2500rpm and it has plenty of power. And remember I checked the pressure and found it to be below that stated in the manual....what a machine. I also raked a small bit of the front yard with the Ratchet Rake. I had been bailing it, then I had it bailed, then one of the people that was to bail it just cut it and never came back.....what a mess. Now I have dead and thin spots everywhere....I ended up with cuttings scraped up that are the size of a small car, but you could not tell anything by looking at the area I just did. I hope it will let some air and water to the soil and get the grass growing again....before that I had a very thick yard....always got TONS of hay off it. If it looks like it is going to work I will do the rest of the yard....or I wonder if running a regular hay rake over it would break it up?.....might give it a try, but don't have a hay rake anymore....have to see if I can borrow one.

Short update, likely not going to do much for a little while, going in for some "outpatient" work to be done and not sure how I will be doing after Wed....might call the dealer today....but I really don't want to be without the machine.....I have been using the wheels off of it.
