How do i change hydraulic fluid in my ford 2000
might help if we knew which 2000 you have.. the 3 cyl or the older 4 cyl.
the older 4 cyl has a seperate hyd sump.. the 3 cyl the hyds share the rear end oil.
4 cyl, hyds oil is in the center housing.. fill plug under left front side of seat under thigh area..
drain plug under machine pretty much right under seat area. ALL the way back of the tractor is a diffy plug, and ahead if the hyds plug is the trannybung.. ahead of that is the crankcase bung..etc. so you got 4 drains. one under engine.. one under tranny, one under hyds.. one under rear end.
if the fluid is emulsified and wattery, dump in a couple gallons of diesel and a quart of atf type f or dex merc 3 fluid, and a pint of 90% rubbing alcohol, start up and drive around the yard and then drain again. then refill with utf fluid meeting m2c134 spec. make sure you cut a new gasket from thin cardboard or gasket paper, poste rboard, etc.. for the fill/drain plug... level is checked with a dipstick on the left side by the pto lever
for the 3 cyl, pretty much same CONCEPT, rear most drain.. drains hyds and diffy, if dirty.. flush.. then refill with clean utf. level check plug is on lower right side of center housing
