I always stick the gun up to my ear, and pull the trigger. Soon as the wire goes in my ear, I remember to release the drive rolls! :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
What gauge wire do you use for your ear wax? Sorry Eamon... couldn't resist.

Sounds exactly like a polarity problem to me. I recently bought a new welder that was set up for flux wire and used it that way for a few weeks untill i got my bottle. When i changed out the wire, i forgot all about changing the polarity, and was pretty bummed out about the way it welded. I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly remembered that i didnt change it over. Then next day i swapped it and "WOW" what a difference.
