Has anyone tried the new disk type hyd. adapters yet? I just recieved mine, and can only get two or three threads on them. I like the cleaness of them , but not sure about haveing press. on that few of threads. Looks like it might have a slight tapper to it. Hose off FEL is standard 3/8 npt. Might just be bad toolin one them, will have to see. Maybe get dealer to try 3/8npt on one to see if they can get it threaded into, before reshipping. Was wondering. Txs. Jim

The NPT thread has a tapered hole by design (gets tighter as you screw it in). Be sure the fittings that you are using are NPT and not BSP. BSP looks almost identical but has 1 more thread per inch (and other small differences). It will usually start fine but binds up quickly. I tested a couple of the adapters with new fittings and they screwed in just fine (in my opinion). I would say that they didn't screw in quite as far (3 turns by hand vs 2.5 turns by hand) as some other new 3/8 female fittings that I had but they screwed in plenty far and they were all the same. If you are using teflon tape that might also cause them to not go in as far. Try using the paste instead - you don't want chunks of that tape floating around in your hydraulic system anyway. It is also possible that you just got a bad one and we can certainly replace it.
