I needed new blades for my PT425 60" finish mower.
Found these on-line a Amazon for $10.95 each plus shipping.
They are Oregon 91-050 for Swisher mowers.
Almost identical to the original.
Put the on today and tested.
Worked good!
Pictures coming.

Winter over yet out there? :)
With the weather we've been getting, you'd think it was still winter around here. It's been cold and raining since last september and i think im really getting sick and tired of it. It's ok to mow in if you want to get your monsoon gear on.:confused2:

I am with you on that. Lots of rain, the grass is growing, and it is usually too wet to cut. Last week I finally got a couple of hours of mowing, and sunk my tires into the bog...

it looked dry...

New snow in the mountains but that is all. Planted the greenhouse today (popcorn) and looking at finding a high school-er to plant tomatoes on the edges of green house (inside). With Calif. drought I think tomatoes should do well.
Mowing every three days so with driving sports teams all over the state keeping very busy.
Will you have both girls home this summer?

Older one will be home for 10 days, then off to Madrid for 6 weeks to study abroad.
Little one is 16 with learner's permit... stay off the roads!!! She's going to DC for a youth summit on the enviroment for a week. First time we won't have kids in the house in 21 years.

I just quit my job in I.T. after 27 years and took a night time mechanic/technician job in our maintenance department. That's what I originally did when I started here. That's how I got into I.T. Computers were machines and needed to be repaired and maintained. Motors, controllers, power supplies, etc... Everything in I.T. is changine so rapidly.... applications and systems are either going to the cloud or to corporate. All servers are being virtualized. They don't need hardware guys anymore in I.T. I am installing the systems that are replacing me. I can do software very well, but it is extremely boring to me as you can't put your hands on it. Soooo..... back to turning wrenches and re-learning electric motor drives. On the bright side, I'll be home during the day with my youngest, and I've been making dinner for the wife and kid before leaving for work. In a coulple weeks, I'll be on a schedule where I can eat dinner with them before going to work.

I look at it this way... in less than two years I'll be able to take early retirement if forced to. If my job stays, I stay. If it goes, I'll have two years of current maintenance experience and there are always maintenance postions in factories all over this area. Little one will go to college in two years as well. Wife's mom and dad are getting elderly. Don't need our care right now, but I see us helping them more in the near future, so I'll be home during the day and wife will be home during the night if needed. And I get to keep my benefits for now, so 28 days off still! I will be going from salary back to hourly, and there is a significant cut in pay. However, there's also a significant cut in hours.... I'll only be working 40 a week instead of 54! So that's another 14 hours a week at home, which is huge!!! Maybe I'll be able to finish that backhoe I started so long ago~

Thanks. I applied for three jobs a coule months ago... that was the first time I'd looked for other work in 27 years. I got interviews with all of them. Made it down to me and another guy for the first one. They said we were equal, but the first guy was a hire from within, so I understood that. However, they left the door open for me if another job came up. That felt good! The second job was factory production work. Not my cup of tea to be at the same station all day. But they said if a maintenance position opened up, they'd let me know. That felt good, too. Then someone left in our maintenance department so I applied for that and got right in. The first day training on that job, the first job called and told me they had an opening! :) I'd already accepted the position here, and I really wanted to stay here. The first job said they understood and told me I should apply there again if anything ever happened to this job.

Anyhow, I went from the pits to knowing I'm still marketable pretty quick. That's a good feeling.

Have been on the road with FFA kids, great time.
You sure have a great attitude and perspective on life. Yes, family is most important and you sure have built a solid foundation.
For the time being will you put your plans on hold with your other property?
