I got 3 plates of Craigslist. 1 will probably end up attached to some old truck snow plow I have yet or acquire. 1 is going to get the quick hitch I got cheap from the same guy will get welded to it so I can pick up compliment with the loader. Not sure what will happen to the 3rd one yet.

I really want the tractor side of the SSQA interface. Will rig it up with a 3pt so I can put my SSQA pallet forks on the back. More lift back there for lifting IBC totes. Can currently only lift one less than half full. Hope to fill it more if I can put it on the back.

Buying a set of latch plates off of ebay should allow a pretty easy build for a rear set up.
A hydro top link will really come in handy for the rear forks.

I used these to build the ssqa for my loader.

I used a plate I had around the house to make a carry all/Man lift. Less than a minute on and off and super handy around the house. Use it for everything from cleaning gutters to moving the Gravely around the property quickly.

I've wondered why someone doesn't make a simple backhoe type quick attach implement. You won't have swing right/left but raise/lower and extend/retract are covered. All you need is bucket curl and you've got a primitive backhoe amirite?

Maybe it's a stupid idea but I think about it every time I'm using a shovel to dig a hole.

Edit: It'd be a fronthoe rather than a backhoe I guess.

Run a google search on bobcat or skid steer backhoe and a few will come up. A few weeks ago they had a new one at the auction and it had a 500 dollar reserve and they couldn't get the bidders over 300 so it was a no sale.

Seems like those would be hard to see what you were doing way out there in front of the tractor and down in the ground. Like the idea for sure though.

Figured I'd add a couple pics since everyone likes pics.

Forks are 60" wide, 42" long and on 20" centers. Made out of 2x2x1/4 square tube and 2x1/4 angle that I had left over from my pond waterline mower project. I actually ended up cutting the pond mower up to use the steel on these. I've got a different idea for the mower.

Anyway, still need to pick up some more steel and build a guard on top to keep stuff from rolling back on the hood. Gonna add some chain hooks today and prime, paint for now.

I added in 4-1/2" of roll back. I would have rather had some solid plate up the sides to get the roll back, but had to use what I had on hand. I double stacked 5" lengths of the square tubing and then ran angle across them, which (should) put the force at the ends of the loader arms.

I just tried them out once real quick on a brush pile and MAN it sure did seem to do the trick!!! I think they will be plenty strong and if not, I'll add some more bracing.

Actually picked up 2 plates for my tractor at an auction today.

Gimmie some ideas what to build for them!!

I need some brush forks but don't like the idea of "wasting" a plate dedicated to be brush forks. But I do have 2, I guess. Thought about fixing a Quick Hitch on one of them to be able to use the carry all or any rear attachment on the front as well. Can't really think of anything I need on the front other than brush forks or pallet forks....

How about a combination bale squeeze/bale accumulator. That ought to keep you busy for awhile:rolleyes:

Good luck.
