Agree, I'm sure you can't go wrong with any; its just a I'll be doing a lot of mowing and wanted the comfortable seat. I also didn't like how the loader control was almost an after thought on the Kioti and Kubota I looked at.

If you want the best seat JD is the hands down winner.

Yeah, the 1025 seat is awesome. The 1023 seat is a travesty though -- worse than on my 12 year old Deere LT-150 mower.

Swap that sucker out...I was thinking of putting a yellow seat on my orange tractor....I am that in love with that seat.

When I was looking at those tractors a couple years ago, I looked at the parts needed to put the 1026R seat on the 1023E. It was about $1200 if I remember right. Not cheap!

It's not that expensive to swap the seat if you don't buy it from Deere ;-)
Kubota makes a fine tractor, so does Deere. The others make good tractors too. .They all have plus' and minus' features and you have to decide what each is worth. I had a Kioti CK27 and it was a great tractor, and no expensive to purchase. Now I have the equivalent Deere, and it is anything but equivalent. The controls are much better and the whole thing works a bit better. I won't disparage the CK27, it was also a good machine, the Deere is just better.

I've had 2 older Kubota's and I liked them. I have never liked the treadle style pedal Kubota uses. Can't stand it actually. I was recently helping a friend shop for a new tractor and looked closely at the BX and the 1 series. Both are good tractors and would do the job, but, since my friend is female, user friendliness is a big deal and the Deere was better. Taking the deck off the BX is a PITA unless you can park it on concrete and lift the front of the tractor with a loader. She isn't that strong so removing the deck is nearly impossible. Deere's drive over deck with auto connect wins big time there.

Deere has the edge with the loader as well. It's just that much easier to remove and you can swap the bucket for pallet forks in a minute. Removing the Kubota loader is not hard but has an extra step, and for her, that's a big deal. Easier is better but only if you need to remove the loader or deck. I remove both of mine routinely so that kind of function matters.

The list price of the two tractors was very close, but it seems that Kubota dealers will discount more. For some that will more than make up the difference in features. Not all Deere dealers are the same. The one closest to me does not really discount at all. The next closest one is a family business and they do.

Dealer selection can more than make up for the difference in tractor function.

Took delivery this morning and cut the field with it right away. It was way more comfortable than my x340 and should shave some time off the cutting. I used the loader to push some brush out of my way to mow and that worked well.

With my couple hours of seat time to this point I am very happy with it.
