Nice Jeep!! LS power makes it even better :thumbsup: I love them imo some of the best engines made by anybody. I have one in my Trans Am, one dropped in my pickup and one in the basement on a stand looking for a car to call home.

I have a trailer that something similar might work well for you. It is a factory built 18' car hauler. According to the title it weighs 1700lbs.
It has a slight dovetail on the rear and ramps that slide out from the back. I like it because it is light and pulls very well. It is also easy to load due to the dovetail. For my tractor if I back it up to a small bank or drive through a shallow ditch I can easily load without even using the ramps. My sons use it to haul cars, and jeeps. I even carried my f250 on it once, but that was pushing it's limits. It has 2 3500lb axles with brakes on one. For some of the other things I carry I would prefer a solid decked trailer with 5,000 lb axles. If I ever find a good deal on one of those I will buy it and sell mine.

There are a lot of good trailer manufacturers out there.
Personally, I didn't have a good experience with the Texas Pride trailer that I bought new in 06.
I have had good experiences with PJ, Big Tex, and probably the best is a local trailer manufacturer (Hooper).
Just remember while you shop for the trailer you want. You don't always get what you pay for, but you'll always pay for what you get.
A quality trailer demands a quality price.

I doubt you could clear the fenders on your standard car hauler. Make sure to get accurate measurements of the width of your rock crawler and ensure any trailer you look at has adequate clearance. Depending on how far you would be hauling it, I would reccomend 2 brakes. It's just safer and the cost isn't that much more.
I wouldn't worry about a dovetail. Loading that jeep you won't need the drop to load it easily. Heck that thing could probably crawl right up a deckover with no ramps...LOL.

If you're in Georgia, that's the right state to trailer shop. I know that in the past when I was looking for trailers, the prices seemed to be much, much lower than in my area.

You are right there. Most trailers are built in other states. Most dealers in NY buy them in bulk out of state then have to add shipping costs to the trailers plus their profit to sell them to us. Living in a state where trailers are built does cost less money for the buyers. Only trailer builder in NY (as far as I know) is Cross Country Trailer. I have one of theirs, a 16' dump trailer. My 20' tilt bed I bought out of state and saved about $1500. Still had to pay sales tax here but the savings was worth it. Others I bought here used.

Kristi builds enclosed trailers in Canastota. A local car dealer sells them in my area. I bought a 7x18 for my business last year.
Blizzard trailers are also manufactured in Boonville. Thought about one of those, they're a beautiful trailer. But all aluminum and much more $$$.

One of their links show a 6x10 aluminum landscape trailer for sale. $2200! I think they're out of my league.
