New stye--"pressure and flow"-- grease gun I bought.

This is a grease gun I stumbled across at a nearby farm store. I never saw one with a "pressure" and "volume" adjustment so I bought it and so far, so good. It's a real high quality product and well-made. It does work well and the volume aspect works but I haven't had a frozen or difficult fitting to test the pressure aspect in a while.

Interesting, the slide bar in the cutout, changes the mechanical advantage. By moving the lever down to "pressure" you have shortened the lever on the load side and while this shortens the stroke of the plunger and delivers less grease on each stroke of the handle, it makes it easier to squeeze the handle as you have more mechanical advantage. Likewise when you move the adjustable lever up to volume, the handle will be more difficult to squeeze but it will deliver more grease with each stroke of the handle. I have never seen that.. Have you thought about getting one of the LocknLube couplers? I have one now, and it is pretty neat.

Have you thought about getting one of the LocknLube couplers? I have one now, and it is pretty neat.

I know, I resisted as long as I could, but caved in to peer pressure when all the reports came back so favorable.. I need some more time with it, I lubed all the zerks on my loader, and I was done before I started :laughing:

I've got a Lincoln pneumatic too. Other than compressor and hose that thing rocks for greasing.
