You might want to consider that what you say here on TBN is subject to suit by manufacturers if they consider what you say to defame them or their reputation. This type of action is becoming more prevalent due to some consumers making statements in public forums on the net that manufacturers feel warrants scrutiny as to facts, not opinion. Unless one can prove in a court of law what one states is fact the manufacturer can sue for damages and likely win, due to their deep pockets and the desire to keep their business unharmed by false statements. Forewarned is forearmed.
Does free speech mean you can slander someone or a company? There is a difference, for example, in saying someone is an arse than saying they are a crook. One is pure opinion, the other needs substantiation. I am all for free speech, and think everyone should be able to express themselves, even if they are racists, offensive and ignorant, it keeps the morons visible, but bashing a person's or company's reputation is unfair.
Trade up to a used 20 series. You'll won't regret it.

Stating the facts of my woes with mahindra is not making false statements about mahindra. I hope my words do change minds about someone considering the purchase of a mahindra tractor and mahindra should loose business for the faulty products they make. This is how the free market works, word-of-mouth. I wish I had the funds and time to sue mahindra for the crappy product I am left dealing with. Every time the tractor breaks down I loose money. I loose money in productivity, time wasted taking it to the dealer, time getting it back home, and my gas $$ in between. Don't you consider the other side of the coin?
It's not slander, it's libel. Know the law. It wouldn't surprise me if mahindra tried to sue me; first sell me a tractor full of problems costing me $$, then take me to court for more $$ after I complain to others about my problems. That would make sense.
People have the right to know if others are having problems with their product, especially when it cost the consumer big $$ while they are out a tractor.
Get real mahindra huggers. I'll be loyal to a brand name when it's loyal back.

With respect, I disagree with at least the sentiment of many of your assertions.Poor you.:confused3: Somehow you have a persecution complex, Mahindra sold you a supposedly bogus defective tractor so you would be burdened by it and having to spend gas $$ to transport it to the dealer to have it fixed while under warranty?!
When one buys a tractor, car, truck, plane, whatever new it comes with a warranty and the warranty allows for remedy of manufacturing defects. It doesn't cover your time, transport, etc.
You're not happy with the remedy, sue the manufacturer, sell the tractor, trade it on a brand which will show 'loyalty to you' :confused2:. Just because there are problems with your tractor does not make Mahindra tractors a 'rip off'. That IS a false statement because it is untrue, and by making that statement you open yourself up to being held responsible for the damage it might do to their reputation.
It's not only false and misleading; it's your opinion, not fact, and you'd be hard pressed to prove it in a court of law.
Good luck finding the perfect tractor that won't have any issues, I don't care what other brand you choose; you need to adjust your expectations to the reality of the real world in which most of us live, and understand our part in any machinery ownership. All machines have issues, some more, some less. Mahindra doesn't hold itself up as being the perfect tractor, and it isn't, but it isn't the worst and it certainly isn't a rip off by any standard.
You're the one with the problem, not those who like their Mahindras.
CM, Opinions are NOT illegal. But, practicing law and giving legal advice without a license is illegal.
