Hello,

I'm interested in buying a 750, 770, 790, or 3005 John Deere. I was curious what people think about them and their track record.

The tractors are all fairly similar. I want 4wd with Ag or Industrial tires. Will be used in large garden, woods and just general chores like moving trailers.

Bullet proof, built by Yanmar.
I see a lot of newer 790's for sale with the newer 300 loader and low hours for very reasonable money around here.
The 300X loader has Deere quick attach and is easy to drop from the tractor as well.
Good luck!

No loader? You are set then. A bunch of them around people have been pulling a finish mower with.
When you find one just remember to use that to your advantage - "I really don't know if I want it since it doesn't have a loader, what is your bottom dollar" :)

I've owned two JD 750's and now own a JD 790. Have really liked and enjoyed all three of them, and gotten really good service out of them too. They are well designed, and will last forever as long they are properly maintained and not abused. Those 3 cyl Yanmar engines will purr all day long too! The 790 is a bit light for the amount of HP it has, so it will tend to spin a good bit, so 4x4 MFWD is really helpful here. Really, other than that, I can't think of anything negative to say about them. Get you one!
