Here is a copy of my invoice. None of those fluff charges. Dealer even agreed to come to my place about 30 minutes away to do service or pick up machine for free if service needed in his shop. So far he has come to do the 50 hour service and replace a remote valve control cable which was freezing up. No charge for travel. costs reasonable. He offered, if I brought in a USB stick, to load the shop manuals for the tractor and loader on it for me for free. These are handy for all kinds of uses including sharing info on the forum.
I feel very lucky to have a dealer like this.

To be honest, I never bother with percentages etc., I just do a "Build Your Kubota" or whatever and then decide what I am willing to pay. I don't lose sleep if someone else negotiates a "better" deal.

"Build Your kubota" doesn't exist in Canada for unknown reason and US and Canadian prices are different so it's hard to use US prices as good reference.

Point being I don't get hung up on percentages or "killer deals", I pay what I think it's worth to me. For some it is a matter of bragging rights or some such.

I agreed and since it's my first purchase of that kind I just trying to figure out the fair price I just don't like practice of some dealers which giving you initially good estimated price for your configuration and later added bunch of extra fees on the final quote.

That's why you always ask for the "out the door price".

Then if they try to tack on anything extra, you walk off.

I think Dave has a great dealer. No bull. Support after the sale. Thanks for your full disclosure Dave. I hate it when people brag about a deal with no proof. Kudos.

I can certainly understand that which is why I no longer go from dealer to dealer as I've found a great one.

Not related, but today my wife stopped in a fast food restaurant to grab us some food as we were in town, the owner of our two Kubota dealerships came over, talked to her for a few minutes and bought our lunch. He treats everyone like a friend and valued customer.

Larry, I have a totally crappy dealer near me. I've tried 3 times to buy a tractor from them with no sign of interest on their part. One time I was out on the lot looking at a tractor and the owner walked right past me and didn't even say Hi. I buy emergency parts from them only. Cost doesn't matter in that situation.
