How far have you driven your Ford after the spark plug(s) blew out?

I was driving along the other day in my Chevy Silverado when I passed a Ford Pick Up making a horrible whistling puffing noise as it drove along.
I don't know what year it was because they all look alike and I don't know what engine it was because it could have been one of several.
It got me to wonder how far someone has driven them with the plug blown out?

My BIL drove his for 2 days, well over 200 miles.

You sure it was a gas engine? Whistling is more a symptom of a turbo issue and until recently only found on diesels.

There is no mistaking the sound when one spits a plug. Don't ask how I know.

It was probably a 5.4L or 6.8L

Nope, gas engine, I've heard Ford turbo noise when a friend called me because his Ford Dually blew the intercooler hose off of the turbo. The truck wouldn't get out of it's own way! Much less be still driving it.

I was gonna say something but then I remembered the "brand bashing" rule . Just kidding, I know they all have their issues. Gotta admit, spitting a spark plug is kinda weird. My dad was a Ford factory mechanic for many years and he used to talk about the Lincolns rear doors falling off. Hinge pins would break.

Same here but it does happen. I know a few guys who have spit plugs. My BIL included.

Not a big deal. Less than a$200 fix and that includes the new COP and plug.

Over torque is the route cause. Spark plugs only require 7 FT LB of torque. The average man can do that with a screw driver.
