OK, Here's an update to my low oil pressure saga. I took the tractor to the dealer a few weeks ago, after some preliminary investigation and questioning Kioti about what might be the problem( Kioti had NEVER heard of such a problem) we decided the best coarse of action would be to check the pressure relief valve first(as it turns out, Kioti has changed this part number several times). This requires removing most of the front of the tractor on my ck20. So, Friday the tech calls and tells me we have 40 lbs of oil pressure at Idle, seems there was a small piece of metal stuck in the valve keeping it open, I am not worried about where the metal came from, the motor does not rattle, knock, tick, smoke, burn oil, have any blow by, I guess on larger engines the pressure relief valve is serviceable, on my tractor it is not( it is a sealed unit) maybe the metal came from the valve itself? (changed part number several times)Anyway, I am very happy we have found the problem and it is a reasonably easy fix. I wanted to update this thread because when I was looking for help when this problem started, I found a few threads but none of them had a resolution. So, a BIG thanks to Jim for his expertise, I am looking forward to having my tractor back.
