Nope can't answer that question. Not even a good guess.

Strange as it sounds, Bonanza is one of my least favorite. The best part was the scenery where much of it was filmed.

As a boy I watched Branded w/Chuck Conners seems like not many oldtimers remember the tv series , even though it ran for about two seasons . What I remember clearly was they snapped his cavalry sword in half and they threw him out of Army/fort to walk away in desert I believe. In series he would carry 1/2 sword like his trademark. Something like the big loop mdel 1892 in 44/40 in Rifleman that was set up to fire on upward or downward stroke of rifle.

Branded (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Of course Rifleman reruns are aired daily.
Heres some info for those that are interested on the 44/40.

The Rifleman - Day of the Hunter, Full Episode with Chuck Connors - YouTube

The Rifleman: The Complete Rifleman Massacre - YouTube

BTW dsquire (Don) Chuch Conners was born to immigrant parents from the Dominion of Newfoundland now part of Canada.

Not saying and don't know that if in real life he lead a western lifestyle.

Dan Blocker married an Indian girl from OK. My Uncle made boots for Dan's father-in-law.
I always liked Bonanza and High Chaparal (sp).
hugs, Brandi
I remember Bonanza from 40 years ago, but was never to see it since then until a couple years ago when things went digital. Since then I watched about 3/4 of them.
While traveling by Lake Tahoe I believe, I stumbled upon the set for Bonanza and went through the house and yards and the little town where the filming took place. Loved it.
But I noticed the house didn't have an upstairs like it alludes to on the shows. The staircase goes up and stops. A little tidbit I remembered.

EWSTN - Channel 342 on dish has replaced bonanza with "Cheyenne". One good thing is there are no commercials, except the other movies in between shows.
No reason given. I kind of like it. Good change of pace.
In the late 50's & early 60's I did watch the rifle man & heard Have gun will travel on the radio.

PBS Channel 6 here has a good western every Sunday. No Commercials

Dish channels 107, 87 or 86 or 85 also have some good ones now & then.
