FYI, search 4shorts and LED lighting on this forum, and you'll find some good posts about adding lighting. He was an early adopter, as they say, and does fine work.

With the fuel line on my tractor leaking and waiting on the replacement, I found myself some time to play on the tractor without being in the seat and finally started installing my lights. The bolts that shipped with them assume a single light is mounting in a single slab of steel and aren't long enough for my needs. I'm going to put one above and one below my ROPS. I'm going to poke two holes in the ROPS and use two long bolts all the way through the mounts for both lights. I still haven't decided if I want to put a hole for the wire to run inside the ROPS or if I just want to run it along the ROPS. I'm going to go pick up some stainless hardware to mount them with, hopefully I'll have decided on the wiring route by then...

In lieu of drilling would a u-bolt work

Not efficiently. I'm sure with some creativity and other pieces of metal there would be plenty of ways to "not drill" on the ROPS. I'm not too concerned about two small holes properly sized for the bolt that will pass through.

Well, I managed to get them mounted today. I didn't drill for the wiring, only the mounts. Single 5/16ths hole all the way through to hold both lights. Top faces front, bottom faces rear.

I'll need to wait until dark to see if I'm really impressed or not, initial expectations are good as even with full sun I could see the difference between on and off around the tractor.

Been busy over the holiday weekend putting a roof on my father's garage. Haven't been around and when I have I've been pretty tired. Honestly, no clue yet. :)

I got a chance to fire them up in the darkness, they do well. I am pleased.
