I've been keeping these valves in mind for special applications.

About Fumoto Valves | Fumoto

If you're considering doing some oil testing Buppies, you might want to get one of these fumoto valves for your 6.4 - easy to sample with, before the end of a regular interval.

My friend at the dealer tells me the 6.4 has lots of issues, especially turbos, but the 6.7 is better but not without issues, mostly exhaust add-ons for Nox control that fail early. If you buy new buy their extra warranty, I think it's 5 grand extra.

So sad, it's not just Ford but most OEMs are having issues, choose your poison then pay, Fred

Great thread. Every time I think of buying a new truck, I read some of these repair threads and feel lucky I have an 18 year old vehicle!
These repair bills are scary! I know guys with Ferraris and other exotic cars that spend less.

Article in the new sept/oct Truck Trend Magazine talks about a problem trend with the Ford diesels. It affects '99-'10 F250, F350, F450 pickup, F550 diesel cab and chassis, E-series van, or class C motorhome. The coating on the inside of the fuel tanks is delaminating and sending tiny flakes through the fuel system. It can affect everything from the tank filters to the injectors.
