Gone bargain hunting

We found a used 7x14 Bri-mar dump trailer on craigslist for $4000. It's been inside a garage for the past 8 years, only used once a year for firewood. So after a short 2 and a half hour drive later it was ours. It will be replacing our old 1973 f750 that's not so reliable... How do you all think we made out?

My uncle has the same trailer. He bought it new in 2004 for $4200. Just goes to show you what a good investment a trailer is.

How are the tires?

Is it the 14,000# version like his? If so it weighs 4200# empty so a 5 ton load is about right for it.

Yes it is a 14000# version and it has the original goodyears from the factory which I'm not very fond of, so they will soon be replaced with a set of greenballs.

. Yea here is my old girl, it's a great truck, but it's getting to where it can't reliably make it to the landfill and back without something breaking
