Do you have a neutral safety switch?

That is what I have. Tractor must be in N to start.. Also electric/hydraulic PTO must be OFF to start. Other than that.. it is good to go.

One major reason I would never go back to gear tractor. When hooking up I put in low set parking brake lightly touch front or rear pedal from ground to make 1/8 inch adjustments as needed. Don't tell OSHA or safety police . No more climb on push in clutch put in gear inch forward or backwards then repeat, repeat and repeat.

I would be a very unhappy camper if there was a seat switch on the DK. It' s a big enough PIA on my mower...

My DK45 has gears but telescoping lower arms make hookup fairly easy without much tweaking the tractor position. Especially so with my mower which has inches of vertical motion at the clevis.

I upgraded my twisty seat switch jumper to a far superior 0.032" stainless safety wire insulated with 3M super 33 electric tape. Far more perma and a better fit too.

Feels like being a Sea Captain!

Moving my tractor around without a seat makes me think it is the low rider version, Hey, Esse!

I don't think I'll slam it though, just not a good look.

If you have a loader on the tractor it works good to put the bucket in the dump position then put it on the ground with some ground pressure, then you can just reach in the cab door and move the tractor back and forth by rolling the bucket, flat ground of course.

I used to do that very thing when I had gear tractors.
