Oh come on, does anyone really think John took advantage of anyone or ever had any dishonest intent? John has helped a lot of people here including me and I don't think he deserves any of the negative stuff being directed at him.

I am with TripleR...John is one of the real "quality" contributors on this forum. Both for content, assistance and honesty. I would trust him on a handshake deal anytime. Not sure that would apply to ALL. Thanks John

It has nothing to do with anything in this thread, however it is a convenient red herring to throw out. My father is ex-military, does that mean he is above the law or has some sort or moral superiority? Nope.
While JT seems to think this is all about him personally, its not. Its about whether selling a tractor (or any other expensive item with a lien) before its paid off is a morally or legally objectionable action.
This exact thing came up in this recent thread by another poster. The overwhelming majority is of the opinion that this is at the least unscrupulous bordering on illegal.
