I spotted this little critter at the edge of our rural driveway while out walking the dog. It struck this fearsome pose only after my dog, not seeing it, accidentally stepped on it.

My lake is full of crawfish. The bass love these for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A good crawdad lure will catch a really big bass.

Looks to be about the same size of the CRABS some of the Marines used to get OVERSEAS that I had to treat when I was a Navy corpsman stationed with them....

I agree....the picture is great...tell us what you used to capture the moment....it looks too sharp to be from a phone camera.

Hi JD,

I took it with my phone-- Galaxy S4. I started taking shots about 3 feet away and slowly moving closer with each shot. This was the last one and I was almost on top of it. Figured the phone wouldn't focus much closer so I just left it there. He probably went back home that day telling wild tales about how he scared away these 2 huge monsters.

I did crop the image for overall composition effect...
