HP for landscape rake?

What about a Befco for 250 without wheels? Says about a month old.

I'm also looking for a landscape rake. Are you saying if you have top and tilt you don't need the gauge wheels? Or should I buy the gauge wheels anyway? I do have the top and tilt.

With Hyd. T&T I have found no need for the wheels...you can keep the rake perfectly parallel with the surface but it may require frequent adjusting of the T&T...but the results are darn near perfect...You may find that using the wheels requires height adjusting also and this requires climbing on and off the machine...i.e. change the aggressiveness attitude of the rake and the wheels will need adjusting too...etc.

Good luck guys...you will love your rakes...very easy to learn to use effectively and efficiently...

As /pine said, with Top and Tilt I don't find the wheel necessary. $250 without wheels in good shape does not sound bad at all!

One gauge wheel juts out pretty far when the rake is pulled angled. Therefore, rake is more maneuverable without gauge wheels.

Note: I do not have T'nT. I use gauge wheels most of the time with my ETA Landscape Rake. Gauge wheels require regular height adjustment during jobs for optimum effectiveness.

A pair of ETA gauge wheels are $299-$349.

Befco equipment enjoys a good reputation weight and ruggedness on T-B-N. I would only buy a 'standard series' Befco Landscape Rake with tines connected to the frame by two fasteners.

A 5' would be the best size for your tractor. A 6' could be cut down to 5' or you could just unbolt some tines to make it 5.'

Thanks. After researching his a bit more it is the sub compact series. My search continues.
