Same here...and if you ever crack your shin on your hitch or someone elses you won't soon forget it...

you would think. but listening to the people here that never look down and are not aware of where they are walking. apparent;ly.. they are walking into hitches OFTEN.. .. you'd think they'd start looking around now and then!

Well, I agree. I think my hitch sits out about 10" +/- from the back of my bumper. If that's just too much for the pansie-wansie's out there, so be it!

This is getting to be a society of bubble boys.
I bought a camper and the three doors in it are 6' tall and I was 6'3" and now 6'2". After a few runs at the door jamb and really nailing the noggin, I automatically duck now. Maybe after a few chins into a hitch people will do a quick sidestep.

yep. a cat jumps on a hot stove and remembers it.

yet some here apparently constantly walk into hitches.. means they are not learning..

Was rear-ended on a stopped highway a year or two ago. The guy who hit me had the front-end of his car folded halfway back to the windshield. I suffered a cracked trailer plug connector, as my 3 ball hitch and receiver took the blow. I saw the guy coming in my mirror with enough warning to get into neutral - so, nary a scratch on the old Ford. I'm not sure if he hurt his shins

the next great debate will be shoe on or off inside the house.

right now my hitch is empty, i'm running around on a 1400 mile road trip. soon as i get back home and tow a trailer it will be in for a while

WOW.. most other places sell the cyl for 95$, the piston for 26$ and the gaskets and orings for about 13$
